Established in 2005 and a constituent of People's University, the People's College of Dental Sciences & Research Center (PCDS) in Bhopal is fully recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). For its 2025 rankings, the college is positioned at 35th place among dental institutions nationwide by NIRF, reflecting its consistent academic and research performance. The college primarily offers the undergraduate Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and postgraduate Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs across various specialities. Admission to the flagship BDS course is competitive, relying entirely on NEET-UG scores, followed by counselling conducted by the state's Directorate of Medical Education. For the 2025-26 academic session, the annual tuition fee for the BDS program is estimated to be around INR 4.5 lakhs, exclusive of other charges. After the four-year program, students undergo a mandatory one-year paid internship, which is crucial for practical experience. For the interns of the 2026 batch, the monthly stipend is projected to be approximately INR 15,000. Career prospects for graduates are promising.
