Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, commonly referred to as IIT Bombay or IIT Mumbai, was established in 1958. In 2024, it was the top choice for all top 10 JEE Advanced rankers, and a notable 70% of the top rankers chose this institute, largely due to the excellent career prospects and its strategic location in India's financial capital. Major recruiters included Airbus, Apple, Google, Intel, Godrej, and many more such as Shell, Halliburton, and Accenture. Further companies involved encompass Barclays, Pfizer, Amazon, Honeywell, NVidia, Microsoft, and others like Hero, Bosch, PwC, and Mastercard. IIT Bombay continues to uphold its prestigious status, bolstered by its comprehensive placement opportunities and high rankings both nationally and globally.
