Established in 2020, the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nandurbar is a developing public medical institution in Maharashtra. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and is fully approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to conduct medical education. As a newer college, it is yet to be featured in national-level rankings like NIRF for the 2025 or 2026 cycles, which is common for institutions in their initial years of operation. The college is primarily focused on its flagship undergraduate program, the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), with an annual intake of 150 students. Admission to this highly sought-after course is strictly through the NEET UG entrance examination, with seat allocation managed via the state's centralized counselling process. The academic environment is rigorous, preparing students for the demanding medical profession. Looking ahead to the 2025 academic session, the annual tuition fee for the MBBS program is expected to be around INR 1.45 lakhs for general category students, although this figure is subject to official revision by the state government. Since the very first batch of students will be completing their mandatory one-year internship around mid-2025, traditional placement data for 2025 or 2026 is not applicable. Upon graduation, students typically either prepare for postgraduate entrance exams like NEET-PG to pursue specializations or fulfill the compulsory service bond requirements in public healthcare setups across Maharashtra.
