IIIT Raichur, established in 2019, is a growing autonomous institute focused on technical and research education. Initially set up by the Ministry of Education, it began its journey on the IIT Hyderabad campus but later moved to the GEC Yermarus Campus in Raichur. This will remain its home until the permanent IIIT Raichur campus is ready. According to Collegedunia's ranking for 2025, it holds the 81st position in the B.Tech category. For its flagship B.Tech program, admission is offered through a national-level entrance exam with a valid JEE Main score. Seats are allocated via the JoSAA/CSAB counselling process. For the general category, the JEE Main cutoff in 2025 ranged between 31744 and 36313. The latest placement stats for IIIT Raichur show that 68.8% of students secured positions in well-known companies such as Infosys, Amazon, TCS, Jio, and Capgemini. The highest salary package achieved was INR 46 LPA, while the average package across the B.Tech departments was INR 18 LPA.
