Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital (VMMCH) was founded in 1996 in Karaikal, Puducherry. It is a part of Vinayaka Missions University and is accredited by MCI and UGC. VMMCH offers an MBBS program at the undergraduate level, and MS and MD programs in various specialties at the postgraduate level, all taught by highly qualified faculty. The campus spans 70 acres and provides comprehensive facilities for students. The college, a private institute since its inception in 1996, is linked with Vinayaka Missions University and recognized by the MCI and UGC, with accreditation from NAAC and NABH. VMMCH provides both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Admissions are based on performance in entrance exams like NEET-UG for MBBS and NEET-PG for MD/MS, with applications processed online. VMMCH's course offerings include MBBS with a duration of 4.5 years plus 1 year of CRRI, requiring 50% in 10+2 with science subjects, and MD/MS programs with a 3-year duration, requiring an MBBS degree with 50% marks. Admission to these programs is entrance-based, relying on NEET-UG for MBBS and NEET-PG for MD/MS. The college boasts a library with over 11,851 books and journals, a hospital with 13 clinical departments and super-specialty clinics, and well-equipped hostels for students from various regions. It also offers sports facilities, Wi-Fi, air-conditioned labs, and emergency care. Prospective students must apply for NEET-UG or NEET-PG online to be considered for admission. The campus itself does not offer a nursing program and does not have a formal placement cell, but students can easily find employment post-internship. The MBBS program accommodates 150 students each year. NEET applications and fee submissions are strictly handled online.
