MCODS Manipal is organized into several departments, each specializing in different areas of dental science. The departments include Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology, which focuses on the study and diagnosis of diseases affecting the oral cavity. There is also a department dedicated to Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge, which deals with the restoration and replacement of teeth. Public Health Dentistry is another significant department, emphasizing the prevention and control of dental diseases within communities. The Oral Medicine & Radiology department specializes in diagnosing and treating oral diseases using radiographic techniques. Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics focuses on correcting malocclusions and misaligned teeth and jaws. Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry is committed to children’s dental health and preventive care to avoid dental issues from an early age. Periodontology deals with the structures surrounding and supporting the teeth, particularly the treatment of gum disease. Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is devoted to preserving teeth through restorative procedures, including root canal treatments. Lastly, the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department handles a wide range of surgical procedures related to the mouth, jaw, and face.
