SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences, established in 2006 in Dharwad, Karnataka, is a prominent private nursing institute. It was founded under the aegis of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education Society and is approved by the Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council. Moreover, it is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and affiliated with both the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board, Bangalore, and SDM University, Dharwad. The institute secured a commendable 9th position out of 300 nursing colleges in India as per the IIRF 2023 rankings. Sprawled over 80 acres, the campus boasts excellent facilities including clinical facilities, laboratories, hostels, mess, library, bookstall, transport, and sports amenities. The institute offers a variety of courses including B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, and GNM at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels respectively. Additionally, a General Duty Healthcare Assistant (GDHA) bridge course is available for qualified candidates. Entry into these programs is merit-based, with admissions accepted under both State Quota and Management Quota. For the B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing programs under management quota, entrance tests followed by personal interviews are conducted.
