Rajalakshmi Engineering College Chennai, commonly known as REC Chennai, is an autonomous educational institution founded in 1997. Associated with Anna University in Chennai, it is endorsed by AICTE and acknowledged by UGC. The college has earned accreditation from NBA and NAAC, achieving an A++ grade. In the Collegedunia 2025 rankings, REC Chennai is placed at 367 in the 'Engineering' category, while in NIRF 2024, it ranks between 101 and 150 in the same category. REC Chennai offers a wide range of programs including BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MBA, and PhD. The BE program is the college's flagship course, with the fee set at INR 2.2 lakhs for the year 2025.
