Established in 1869, St. Xavier's College in Mumbai is a private, autonomous institution affiliated with the University of Mumbai. It holds an A+ Grade from NAAC and is recognized by the UGC. According to the NIRF Ranking 2024, it stands at 89 in the overall category. The college offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including B.Sc, B.Com, BA, BMS, M.Sc, and MA. St. Xavier's flagship B.Sc program is available in 12 different specializations. To gain admission to the B.Sc course, students need to have completed their 10+2 education. Admission is based on aggregate marks from qualifying exams for both UG and PG courses. For the B.M.S. and B.M.M. courses, 60% weightage is given to entrance test scores and 40% to Class XII marks. The total fee for the B.Sc program ranges between INR 44,313 and INR 1.95 lakhs, while the BA program fee is between INR 41,913 and INR 2.25 lakhs, depending on the branch. The placement report for 2025 is yet to be announced. However, the NIRF report of 2024 states that the median salary package offered was INR 6 LPA, while it was INR 6.89 LPA in 2023.
