The Central Electro Chemical Research Institute (CECRI) came into existence in 1948. This institute is a part of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and is linked to Anna University in Chennai. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering. The expansive 300-acre campus includes facilities like four classrooms, drawing halls, a canteen, and hostels. Random numbers are assigned on June 7, 2024, while the rank list for TNEA is declared on July 12, 2024. For extracurricular activities, CECRI organizes various sports events like football, cricket, and athletics, including an inter-college sports meet known as ARMAGEDDON.
