Jadavpur University, founded in 1955, is a public institution situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. In 2024, it was ranked 17th overall by NIRF and 22nd in engineering according to IIRF. The university offers a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs spanning Science, Arts, Engineering, and Technology, as well as interdisciplinary courses at the PG and MPhil levels. One of the university's prominent offerings is the Master of Technology (M.Tech) program. Admissions are based on GATE scores followed by centralized counseling. The tuition fee for the first year of the M.Tech program ranges from INR 5,160 to INR 90,360.
