ICFAI University in Sikkim, officially known as the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, is renowned for fostering innovation, social and professional ethics, and life skills in students. With notable international partnerships and collaborations across industries, it is among the top-rated private universities and a proud member of AIU. Established in 2004, it has recognition from UGC, BCI, and DEB, and is based in the serene city of Gangtok. Focusing on placements, statistics from the 2011-14 batch reflect varied success. For the BBA stream with 158 students, 61 chose placements and 36 were successfully placed. In BCA, out of 72 students, 32 pursued placements but only 5 secured spots. The BHTM stream had 68 students, 37 opted for placements, and 28 were placed. Out of 4 MBA students, 2 received job placements. The university boasts significant facilities. Students have access to a hostel which provides a supportive environment for personal and academic growth. The central library is well-stocked with resources in management, science, and technology, housing 2385 titles and 8028 volumes. The library subscribes to 33 magazines, 46 journals, and 5 newspapers, ensuring a comprehensive information base for students and faculty. The computing facilities include a computer lab with 60 workstations featuring the latest software and hardware along with multiple servers, supporting diverse operating systems in a client-server setup. Additionally, the soft skills lab aims to enhance student personality and prepare them for real-world scenarios by focusing on team management, self-analysis, and time and resource management, which are crucial skills in today's corporate landscape.
