Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as NIT Jalandhar, is an independent institute set up in 1987 in Jalandhar, Punjab. As per the QS Asia University Rankings 2025, NITJ falls within the ranking bracket of 661-680 among Asian universities. In the NIRF engineering rankings of 2024, NIT Jalandhar secured the 58th spot. The institute provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and management domains. Key offerings include BTech at the undergraduate level and MTech, MBA, and MSc at the postgraduate level. The B.Tech program is the flagship course at NIT Jalandhar, with the first-year fee set at INR 1,47,000. Admissions for B.Tech are based on the JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA Counselling.
