D.Y. Patil Education Society, commonly called D.Y. Patil University, is a prestigious self-financed deemed university in Maharashtra. The society began its journey by establishing a Medical College in 1989. This university is named in honor of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil, a renowned educationist. D.Y. Patil University provides exceptional facilities that help students in becoming outstanding doctors. It features 14 collaborative faculty members and 20 full-time research scholars working on various projects funded by DST, DRDO, CSIR, New Delhi and BRNS, Mumbai. Established in 2005 by Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil, the institution is managed by the D.Y. Patil Education Society.
