Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, recognized by the UGC, was founded in 1990 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It's named after the renowned editor, poet, and freedom fighter, Pandit Makhanlal Chaturvedi. The university operates from its two main campuses in Bhopal and three others in Datia, Khandwa, and Rewa. MCNUJC stands as the first center of academic excellence in the Asian sub-continent. Popularly called Makhanlal University, it offers a wide range of courses in Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Electronic Media, and more. The university provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs including BA, B.Sc., B.Tech, BCA, BBA, B.Com, and BLIS at the UG level, and MA, M.Sc, MBA, MCA, and MLIS at the PG level. Admission is based on merit, assessed through entrance tests conducted by the university. Application for courses is possible online and offline. MCNUJC has established MoUs with numerous organizations, such as the United Nations, UNICEF, and the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. This collaboration enhances various academic and skill-oriented programs. The university's placement cell is committed to preparing students for employment opportunities, with top companies like Aaj Tak, ABP News, and Hindustan Times participating in campus recruitments.
