

IIT Indore, which was established in 2009, is a self-governing public institution recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It secured the 33rd position in India for overall categories and 16th for B.Tech in the NIRF Ranking 2024. The prestigious institute offers flagship programs in B.Tech and M.Tech. For B.Tech admissions, students need to clear JEE Advanced and participate in JoSSA counseling, while M.Tech admissions are based on GATE scores followed by COAP counseling. For M.Sc and Ph.D. programs, admissions are through IIT JAM and a mix of entrance exams and interviews, respectively. The JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff for the General category in round 1 ranges between 1628 and 10500. The GATE 2024 cutoff for the General category stood between 455 and 500. For IIT JAM 2025, the General category cutoff from Round 1 to Round 3 ranged from 46 to 370. The fee for the first year is INR 2,99,400 for B.Tech and INR 1,14,600 for M.Tech. Students can avail scholarships such as the Central Sector Scholarship for SC/ST, Samsung Star Scholarship, DAAD Scholarship, and Commonwealth Scholarship, providing financial assistance to students from low-income families. According to the IIT Indore NIRF 2025 report, the median salary package was INR 19,48,000 per annum for UG and INR 10,00,000 per annum for PG during the 2023-24 placement season. Out of 331 UG students, 234 were successfully placed. Meanwhile, 63 PG students secured placements during the same period.
