Sri Devaraj Urs University, recognized as a deemed university, is located in Karnataka and operates under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. A notable part of this university is Sri Devaraj URS Medical College, situated in Tamaka, Kolar, which functions under the Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust. The university offers a variety of medical programs, including MBBS at the undergraduate level and MD, MS, and Post Graduate Diploma courses at the postgraduate level.
