The National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, commonly referred to as NIT Kurukshetra or NIT KKR, was established in 1963. Recognized as one of the 31 NITs in India, it operates under the Government of India's management. According to the NIRF 2024 rankings, NIT Kurukshetra holds the 81st position out of 300 B.Tech colleges in India, while IIRF 2024 ranked it 56th among 160 B.Tech institutions.
