All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, commonly known as AIIMS Patna, is a government-run medical institute founded in 2012 in Patna, Bihar. Initially called Jaya Prakash Narayan All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the institution is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Indian government. It has the approval of the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC). In 2024, AIIMS Patna ranked 27th in the NIRF Medical Category and 35th among 522 colleges in India according to Collegedunia's 2025 medical rankings. AIIMS Patna provides a variety of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, super specialty, and doctoral levels.
