Assam Down Town University, often referred to as ADTU Assam, is a self-governing institution acknowledged by both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). Established in 2010, it earned a spot in the 101-125 band for engineering in the NIRF rankings for 2025. ADTU Assam provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, primarily leading to B.Tech and B.Sc degrees. The B.Tech program is available in four different specializations. Admission is based on merit and the JEE Main Exam, followed by a counseling process. The fee for the B.Tech course is approximately INR 4.1 Lakhs. While the placement report for 2025 is not yet available, the report from 2024 indicates a median package of INR 3.6 LPA, with 155 students applying for placements and 119 successfully securing jobs, marking a placement rate of 76%. Major companies like Mendine, intelliPaat, Justdial, ADP, Kotak Life, ICICI Securities, and Ultratech Cement are key recruiters at ADTU Assam.
