Vignan Foundation for Science, Technology & Research, often referred to as VFSTR, is recognized as a deemed university. Established in 2008, it is recognized by UGC, AICTE, and NBA, and holds an 'A+' grade accreditation from NAAC. The university maintains affiliations with JNTU in Hyderabad, Kakinada, and Anantapur. VFSTR provides a range of specializations in management across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Its flagship course is B.Tech, but it also offers degrees in MBA, M.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, MCA, and PhD. The fee for the first year of B.Tech ranges from INR 1.2 lakh to INR 3 lakh. Admission to most of VFSTR's programs is merit-based, requiring entrance exam results. For the B.Tech program, candidates can gain admission through the university's V-SAT or the JEE Mains exams. For PhD programs, candidates are selected based on CSIR-NET and UGC-NET scores, followed by a personal interview. The overall cutoff for the CAT 2024, round one, was 70 for the General category under the HS quota.
