KIIT School of Management, or KSOM, is a private university in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Established in 1993, it's part of the Kalinga Institute of Technology. Recognized by the UGC, approved by AICTE, and accredited by NAAC with an A++ Grade, KSOM ranks 156th by Collegedunia and 27th by IIRF in the Management category for 2025. The institute offers a range of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, primarily in the field of management. KSOM’s flagship program is its MBA, available in six specializations. To qualify for this, candidates need a bachelor’s degree in relevant areas from a recognized university with at least 50% marks overall (45% for SC/ST). Additionally, they should have scored a minimum of 50% in both 10th and 12th standard exams. Admission to the MBA program is based on scores from exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, or KIITEE Management Test, followed by a group discussion, personal interview, and writing ability test. In 2024, the MAT overall cutoff for the general category was 80 percentile. The tuition fee for the MBA course is INR 13.9 lakhs. The latest placement statistics show that KSOM hosted over 170 companies in 2024, with students securing an average salary package of INR 9 lakhs per annum. The highest salaries offered were INR 18 lakhs for international placements and INR 20 lakhs for domestic ones. Leading companies like Ericsson, ITC Infotech, High Radius, Schneider Electric, Tech Mahindra, L&T Financial, Microsoft, and Oracle were among the top recruiters.
