

Himalayan Institute of Technology, Dehradun, better known as HIT Dehradun, is a private educational institution founded in 2001. It has approvals from AICTE and UGC and is recognized by the Government of Uttarakhand. The institution is affiliated with Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University, Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, and Uttarakhand Technical University. HIT Dehradun offers a variety of diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs in various fields such as Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Commerce, IT, Sciences, and Hotel Management. The flagship program at HIT Dehradun is the MBA course, which has a total fee of INR 5.25 lakhs. To qualify for admission, candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university (45% for reserved categories). Selection is primarily merit-based, with a preference for candidates having valid CAT/MAT/CMAT scores, followed by a personal interview. The 2025 placement process at HIT Dehradun has been successfully completed, though the official report is awaited. For the HIT Doon Placement 2024, the highest package offered was INR 13.5 LPA, and the average package was INR 5 LPA. More than 156 recruiters, including prestigious companies like Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, Coca-Cola, ICICI Bank, Nestlé, and Tata Steel, participated in the process. The institute also had a robust internship season, with over 120 companies providing internships and a notable increase in pre-placement offers (PPOs) and stipends compared to past years.
