

Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as SPIT, is an esteemed autonomous research and engineering institute linked to Mumbai University. Established back in 1962, SPIT Mumbai holds the 82nd rank in India and ranks 4th in Mumbai for B.Tech according to Collegedunia. The institute provides a variety of programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in engineering and computer applications. The BTech program is SPIT Mumbai's most prominent course, mainly accepting candidates via the MHT-CET entrance exam followed by a counseling session. The top 50% of students managed an average package of INR 19.62 LPA, while the top 25% secured an impressive average of INR 25.25 LPA. Major companies like PhonePe, JP Morgan Chase and Co., Nvidia, and Microsoft were some of the key recruiters in 2024 at SPIT Mumbai.
