Manipal Institute of Technology, fondly referred to as MIT Manipal, was founded in 1957 and operates as a private, self-financing engineering college. It is linked with Karnataka University, Mysore University, Mangalore University, and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It proudly holds an 'A++' grade from NAAC and secured the 56th spot in the engineering category as per the 2024 NIRF rankings.
