Madha Institute of Engineering and Technology, one of Chennai's notable Christian Minority institutions, came into existence in 2009, thanks to the efforts of Ln. Dr. S. Peter. Established under the Loordhu Ammal Educational Trust, this forward-thinking institution is dedicated to delivering high-quality education in Science, Engineering, Technology, and Management. Situated peacefully along NH45 in Chennai, it offers an ideal learning environment. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It houses various departments, including Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering, covering a broad spectrum of technical education. A dedicated Training & Placement Cell is in place to meet the recruitment needs of the industry by organizing campus interviews for student placements. In the 2013-14 academic year, the placement records indicated that 09 students from Information Technology, 32 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and 06 from Electronics and Communication Engineering were successfully placed. Beyond academics, the institute encourages extracurricular participation with activities through the National Cadet Corps, the National Service Scheme, and the Youth Red Cross. The college boasts a well-equipped, fully computerized library hosting over 10,000 titles in crucial Science and Engineering fields. It subscribes to 230 significant technical journals, including IEEE, IEE, ACM, ASME, and Science Direct, offering substantial resources for in-depth study. The library's 130-seat capacity ensures ample space for students, supported by 485 CDs, and the college is affiliated with prestigious bodies like IEEE, IETE, ISTE, CSI, and IEI for broader professional engagement.
