Gargi College, part of the University of Delhi, is a government-run institution established in 1967. Known as one of the top colleges for women, it's accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC and holds the 31st position in the NIRF 2024 rankings. The college offers 34 varied undergraduate and postgraduate courses spanning science, commerce, and humanities, with admissions based strictly on CUET scores and DU's CSAS counseling. Among the popular courses at Gargi College are B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc., and BA (Hons.). For a B.Sc. (Hons.), applicants need at least 55% in their 10+2 Science stream and selection is made through CUET. Although the Gargi College Placement Report for 2026 has not been released, the NIRF 2025 report shows the highest package offered was INR 23.05 LPA, with the average package ranging between INR 5.25 and INR 5.35 LPA. The median salary for undergraduate courses during the 2024 placements was INR 4.5 LPA, while for postgraduate courses it was INR 4.8 LPA. Reputed companies like KPMG India, PWC, ITC Group, and EY GDS participated in the placement drive. Scholarships are available at Gargi College for financially challenged or meritorious students, provided after verifying the students' income. Notable scholarships include the S.K. Sood Memorial Scholarship, offering INR 6000 annually, and the R.P. Cricket Academy Scholarship, available to two sportswomen, each worth INR 6000 per annum.
