GLA Institute of Engineering and Technology, part of GLA University, was established in 1998 and aims to provide top-notch education and training in various professional degrees. Located in Mathura, it offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering. The institute is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. The institute hosts several departments, namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Humanities & Applied Sciences. These departments are dedicated to offering comprehensive education in their fields. GLA Institute has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that assists organizations in conducting campus interviews for student placements. In 2014, the placement statistics were impressive: 11 students from Civil Engineering, 94 from Mechanical Engineering, 63 from Electrical Engineering, 152 from Electronics and Communication Engineering, 190 from Computer Science Engineering, and 75 from Information Technology secured positions. The institute boasts a Central Library with a vast collection of over 1,00,499 books, upwards of 2,250 CD-ROMs, and subscribes to more than 145 national and international journals and magazines. Additionally, a wide array of e-journals is accessible through the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, including IEEE and ASME publications. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available, providing nutritious meals in a hygienic environment. Furthermore, the institute offers a scholarship of Rs. 33,000 per annum to students who achieve more than 90% in their qualifying exams, helping to support high-achieving students financially.
