Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, commonly known as BIET Davangere, was founded in 1979. This private engineering college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Belgaum. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has secured an 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC, with its undergraduate programs also receiving accreditation from the NBA. BIET Davangere provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It offers BE and B.Tech degrees, as well as M.Tech, MBA, and MCA courses. The flagship program at BIET Davangere is the BE in Computer Science and Engineering, which costs approximately INR 9.48 lakh. Admissions are based on merit through entrance exams, with KCET, COMEDK UGET, GATE, or Karnataka PGCET serving as qualifying exams. Although the placement report for 2025 is yet to be released, in 2024, BIET Davangere recorded a highest salary package of INR 30 LPA, while the average salary was INR 4.97 LPA. This was achieved by 294 students securing positions in 65 reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro.
