Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, established in 2005, is a private autonomous institute located in Shimoga, Karnataka. Affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognised by the Medical Council of India, the institute is situated on 25 acres along the Bangalore-Honnavar highway. SIMS Shimoga offers MBBS programmes at the undergraduate level and various specializations like MD, MS, and Diploma courses at the postgraduate level. The university also provides B.Sc courses in paramedical sciences. Admissions for all these courses are determined by NEET UG and NEET PG scores. Subsequently, counselling sessions are conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority at the state level and by the Medical Counselling Committee at the national level. The campus is well-equipped with various facilities, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students.
