

Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, set up in 2005, is affiliated with Kanpur University. The institute provides both Bachelor's and Paramedical programs in the field of Medical Science. Admissions to their MBBS program are based on the Combined Pre-Medical Test administered by DGME, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Annually, the college admits 150 students into its MBBS program and 50 students into postgraduate courses. The college, along with its hospital, spans an area of 97,164 square meters. The library is quite expansive, covering 2,433.67 square meters and housing 13,890 books and 104 journals, offering a treasure trove of knowledge for the students and faculty. The campus features a large auditorium with the capacity to host 1,000 people, catering to various academic and cultural events. Accommodation facilities for students are well-structured, with separate hostels for different batches. For undergraduate students, there are hostels for boys with 600 seats spread across two buildings and a separate facility for girls offering 300 seats. Interns have their own hostel with 100 seats, while postgraduate students are provided accommodation across three hostels with a total of 98 seats.
