

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, commonly referred to as PGIMER, is a public postgraduate medical university situated in Chandigarh, India. Established in 1962, PGIMER Chandigarh is recognized as a deemed university and designated as a Center of Excellence by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In the NIRF 2024 rankings, it was placed as the second-best medical institute, while IIRF ranked it third in India for the same year. PGIMER's flagship course is the MD program, with the fee for MD in 2025 set at INR 3,370. To be eligible for admission, candidates need to have completed their MBBS and qualified in the INI-CET exam.
