Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Nalgonda is known for its modern infrastructure and peaceful campus, offering quality education. The institution provides several facilities to accommodate and support its students. For accommodation, KIMS Nalgonda has three hostels for girls and one for boys, with a combined capacity of over 1,200 students. The hostels offer single, double, and triple occupancy rooms that are well-furnished, air-conditioned, and well-ventilated. Students have access to dining halls and safe, regularly treated drinking water. There are also separate accommodations for NRI students. The college places a strong emphasis on self-learning, supported by its central library, SAHITHI. This library houses more than 16,185 books, 142 journals, and 535 e-journals. Additionally, it provides interactive multimedia CD-ROMs and e-books. Each department within KIMS has its own library to cater to specific needs. KIMS also features state-of-the-art lecture halls designed in a gallery style, and a 650-seat auditorium along with a 1250-seat theatre. Both are fully air-conditioned and equipped with digital multimedia systems. For recreation, the institute offers two large playgrounds for various sports like athletics, cricket, hockey, and soccer. There are also facilities for basketball, volleyball, and lawn tennis. Indoor games such as chess and carrom are available in the common rooms, and there's a gym fitted with modern equipment. KIMS Nalgonda offers a wide range of departments for medical education and research. These include Pre-Clinical Departments like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, Para-Clinical Departments such as Pathology and Microbiology, and Clinical Departments offering courses in Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, and more specialized fields like Plastic Surgery and Nephrology.
