Dr. Vaishampayan Memorial Government Medical College, established in 1963, is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nashik and is managed by the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra Government. It's closely connected to the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sarvopachar Rugnalaya in Solapur. Each year, the college admits 100 students into its MBBS program. The associated hospital has 733 beds, and the college itself spans an area of 14,188 square meters. Additionally, it features an air-conditioned seminar, workshop, and conference hall with a seating capacity of 100. The college boasts a well-stocked library, housing 24,590 books, 11,550 volumes of journals, and currently subscribes to 98 journals, of which 20 are Indian and 78 are foreign. It also holds 2,983 theses, along with 725 WHO publications and 350 reports. Moreover, the institution has an auditorium that can accommodate up to 800 people, making it suitable for large events and gatherings.
