Christian Medical College, commonly referred to as CMC Vellore, is a prominent private medical institution founded in 1900 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. It is an unaided minority educational institution run by the Christian community. The college is acknowledged by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and holds accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers. It is also affiliated with MGR Medical University, Chennai. According to the NIRF 2025 rankings, CMC Vellore is placed 3rd among 50 medical colleges in India. CMC Vellore offers popular courses such as MBBS and B.Sc Nursing. To qualify for MBBS admission, candidates must achieve at least 50% in their 10+2 exams, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
