Deshbandhu College for Girls offers a variety of facilities that enhance the overall student experience. The college's library is a standout feature, attracting many students with its extensive collection. It holds over 2000 books, including journals, handbooks, novels, encyclopedias, and yearbooks, with new additions annually. There is a significant focus on women’s studies within the collection. Additionally, each Honours department boasts its own departmental library. When it comes to sports, the college actively organizes and encourages participation in various sports events, providing an opportunity for students to shine beyond academics. The annual sports events end with a prize and certificate distribution ceremony. Students are also welcome to join different clubs based on their interests, such as the Debating Club, Drama Club, ECO Club, Film Club, and Photography Club, all of which host a range of campus activities. The hostel facilities at the college are commendable, built with support from UGC grants. Rooms can accommodate up to four students and offer a continuous water supply around the clock. In terms of laboratories, the college is well-equipped with two computer labs housing over 30 computers, a dedicated lab for geography students, and an upcoming environmental studies lab. The college has an active National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit with 70 cadets, who have represented the college in numerous camps and brought home medals, like at the recent Bilaspur camp. The NCC contributes to building students’ discipline, mental toughness, and physical strength. Similarly, the National Service Scheme (NSS) is an integral part of the college, promoting the motto “Not Me But You.” There are 100 NSS volunteers who are involved in various service activities, and NSS Day is celebrated each year on September 24th.
