

Goa University, a prominent state-level university, is recognized with an 'A' grade by NAAC for its exceptional academic offerings. It provides a variety of educational programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma levels. The university has 56 affiliated colleges offering both professional and general courses. On its campus, there is one center, 14 departments, and seven schools. Besides, nine institutions are recognized by the university for conducting research programs leading to a Ph.D. degree. The university presents a broad range of courses in fields such as engineering, commerce, management, science, and arts. Admission to its postgraduate courses requires an entrance test called GU ART. Additionally, Goa University considers scores from several national entrance exams like NEET UG, NEET PG, GATE, NATA, ATMA, CMAT, and GPAT. Currently, more than 30,000 students are enrolled across its affiliated colleges, with over 2,000 pursuing postgraduate studies on the university campus. The female student population exceeds 60%, surpassing male students who make up a little over 40%.
